Background: The client had a new invention, DoorJammer a unique clever door security device. They were going to launch DoorJammer internationally within the consumer travel accessories and home security sectors. The UK was and still is one of its key target markets.
The client approached us as they required a Consumer Lifestyle PR Agency that could obtain exposure in the UK consumer press but also help advise when required on their international plan. As agreed with the client our public relations campaign targeted a) sole travellers and women in particular on business & holiday, students and families and b) home security.
Outcome: We managed DoorJammer’s Public Relations (PR). This included managing the client’s Press Office and Media Relations, as well as Social Media campaigns, Celebrity association and Events, such as the British Invention of the Year Awards (Double Gold) and Gadget Show Live. We succeeded in securing UK and International press and media coverage including;
UK: Travel Agenda in the Independent, Period Ideas – Door Lock security feature, Uncovered Magazine (Flybe), Travel & Leisure Magazine, ‘Travel Essentials’ Fresh Direction Student magazine, Happy Families Magazine (online), Web User magazine, Watch My Wallet and Red Ferret.

Joseph Tirelli as Account Director led his dedicated marketing and PR team. They helped publicise DoorJammer’s Police’s Secured by Design accreditation, winning at the British Invention of the Year Awards (Double Gold Consumer Category) and being a Finalist at the Gadget Show Live. In regard to the latter two events, Joseph also acted as the company’s onsite press representative.
