So pleased to see that our client Holly Smith, Extreme Couponing UK has been shortlisted for a major business award. Holly is one of three finalists for Young Business Person Award Category in the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards 2016 (EADT).
The prestigious EADT Business Awards are in their 19th year and aim to recognise the best in entrepreneurial endeavour and business practice across East Anglia.
The Young Business Award Category is open to anyone born after 7th July 1981. ‘The judges were looking for evidence of exceptional vision and leadership, whether the entrant is running his or her own business or is operating in a managerial position within a larger organisation.’
Holly started couponing when she had to give up work due to debilitating illnesses. Refusing to rely on disability benefits, Holly has channelled her positive attitude and single mindedness by setting up a money saving blog and Facebook page. Holly is keen to show that anyone can make savings using her easy ‘extreme couponing’ techniques – especially important for those on very limited budgets.
The judges said: “Holly is magnificent and such a role model to all. Even though her health has a major impact on her life, she does not let it affect her and puts her heart and soul into helping others through her business.
“She has progressed her business which now has a global reach and invests considerable time in personally contacting anyone who has spared the time to contact her.
“Holly has developed a sensible strategy to generate income and has a sound plan to move the business forward in the coming years.”
The awards evening will take place on the 7th July at Trinity Park, Ipswich.
As Holly’s PR and management agency for her company Extreme Couponing UK, we wish her all the best.
